Jaromir Bugter studied Dutch law (2000) at Utrecht University, majoring in private law and tax law, and has completed the Grotius Academy in Corporate Litigation.

Jaromir has been working as a lawyer since 2000 and has worked for several medium-sized and large law firms in Amsterdam and Utrecht.

Jaromir specialises in corporate law with a focus on transactions (M&A) and disputes (corporate litigation). He has extensive experience in shareholder disputes, takeover disputes, directors' liability and proceedings at the Enterprise Chamber. Jaromir regularly acts as a trusted advisor for entrepreneurs, directors, companies and investors.

Jaromir is a member of the Association for Corporate Litigation.

Jaromir has registered the following principal legal practice areas in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister):

• Civil Procedural Law (Litigation); and

Ernst was sworn in as a lawyer in 2001 and has since worked in maritime and trade practice. He serves the entire logistics chain.

His heart lies with the shipping and offshore industry. Ernst started his career at DLA Piper. He also gained experience as a corporate lawyer at Smit Salvage (Boskalis). Since 2009 he has had his own law practice.

Ernst also lectured in transport law at the University of Amsterdam and acts as an arbitrator in logistical disputes. In the legal expertize registry of the Dutch Bar Association, Ernst is registered as a Transport & Commercial Law specialist. This obliges him to obtain ten training points in that field of law every year. Ernst is a member of the Dutch Association for Transport Law, the Dutch Arbitration Association and a (board) member of the Dutch Association for Transport Lawyers.

Marcel Bunders has been a lawyer since 1986 and advises and litigates on contracts and disputes in the entertainment and media sector. Due to his years of experience and broad knowledge, he can be regarded as an authority in this sector. He has also been a board member of the International Association of Entertainment Lawyers IAEL (iael.org), the leading international network of entertainment lawyers, for many years. Marcel is known for his (cost) efficient advice and successful procedures.

Marcel's clients include major and independent music labels and music publishers, large concert organizers and venues, booking agencies and Dutch and international artists and media personalities.

Marcel has registered Civil Procedural Law (Litigation) as principal legal practice in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister). Based on this registration, Marcel is required to obtain ten training credits in that area of law each calendar year, in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands’ Bar Association.

Aike studied Dutch Law (2000) and Notarial Law (2000) at the University of Amsterdam and started his career at a large law firm in Amsterdam. From 2007 to 2010 Aike worked as a lawyer in Curacao at a large local firm and from 2014 to 2020 Aike was head of the legal department of an international commercial bank in Amsterdam.

Aike's practice is a combination of international contract law, finance & security instruments, corporate law, maritime and trade, especially shipbuilding and shiprepair Aike is highly experienced in the field of trade finance and the restructuring of loans and related security instruments.

Aike has registered in the 'Netherlands Bar's register of legal practice areas' (rechtsgebiedenregister) Financial Law and Transport and Commercial Law as specialized legal areas. Based on this, Aike is required to obtain ten training points in these fields of law every year, in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands’ Bar.

Aike practices in the Netherlands as well as Curaçao and the Dutch Caribbean (BES Islands).

Arjan studied Dutch law (2000), with a major in private law and criminal law, at the University in Amsterdam. Arjan started his career at Holland Van Gijzen (in Amsterdam and Chicago), then became a partner at Hellingman Bunders Advocaten and is one of the founders of Bunders Lok Advocaten.

In 2007 Arjan completed the Grotius course in Company and Liability. Arjan has extensive experience as trusted advisor of various companies and embassies. Arjan specializes in corporate law, focusing on liability law, contract law and commercial litigation. Real estate law and employment law are also part of his daily practice.

Arjan has registered the following principal legal practice areas in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister):

• Civil Procedural Law (Litigation); and
• Contractual law.
